In November 2021 I participated for the first time ever in the World Chess Championship for People with Disabilities. It took place on the online playing platform Tornello and was a great adventure! I had only the modest desire to win one game in this long and challenging tournament. But in the end the hard training of the previous months paid off as I became Women’s World Champion among the Disabled. After that, I received many congratulations, made several new friends at the World Championship and gave many interviews. This was a whole new experience for me because usually I’m the one asking the questions behind the microphone as a journalist, and not otherwise!
